Session of the Alliance for Health Promotion:
Achieving resilience, equity and sustainability by leaving no one behind

The Alliance for Health Promotion (A4HP) was invited for a 60-min. session at the WHO 10th Global Conference on Health Promotion during the Health Promotion Forum to connect with the 10th GCHP audience on mental health, well-being and health promotion trough resilience, sustainability intergenerationally. The A4HP session titled: “Achieving Resilience, Equity and Sustainability through leaving No One behind” took place on December 13th, 2021.

In light of pursuing continuity to the Alliance’s deliverable on the Youth Hub and its Geneva-based pilot project for youth “Health Promotion in Pandemics: Webinar for Youth”, the A4HP chose to showcase an intergenerational panel involving a youth moderator from the International Federation of Medical Students Associations (IFMSA). Bridging together four interactive sessions involving intergenerational exchanges and presentations linked together with youth perspectives on the following:

  1. A summary of the Youth Webinar involving findings, youth key messages and recommendations on mental health, well-being, and health promotion.
  2. A session on equity among genders
  3. A dive-in into generational interconnections during the pandemic
  4. A takeaway live sophrology exercise

The Alliance also has a virtual booth within the exhibition held for the conference.

This was a call for action in investing in public health while ensuring a multisectoral and intersectoral approach in which all stakeholders are involved and to make sure that really we leave no one behind. It is not just a statement but an implemented action.
